  • Glad I could help! 🙂

I think I have you figured out 🙂

I noticed that some posts behave and others don’t – and I think your problem is dashes. Namely, you have (or at some point had) too many in your titles, and thus in your post slugs.

Try this and see what happens:

Edit the post titled “Looking For The Best Baby Sling Carrier – A Pregnancy Mission”

Go to the post slug option on the right side of the edit page and change the slug from whatever it is now to:

    looking-for-the-best-baby-carrier-sling-a-pregnancy-mission

Save and go back to your home page and see if the permalink works now. It should. If it does, you’ll have to go back and clean up the slugs of posts that have or had multiple dashes in them – and don’t use them in your titles any more! (ie: “Fred is a green toad – really!” is good, and “Fred is a green toad — really!” will break).

    Please help?

A careful look at your logs might help pinpoint where things went wrong if you were hacked. Look for visitors entering or exiting your site in strange places, or accessing entire directories not normally visited in and of themselves (like an image directory).

Assuming what I’m currently seeing is the “hacked” version, did you recently change your theme to that one (the fall theme)?

I’m having the same problem scud is; posts work fine, as do category listings, etc., but all existing static pages go 404 unless I’m using the default permalinks. Help?
