I think I fixed the problem.
Yes, I have the plugin v 1.3.3, and I did make the form mandatory. I have two different forms on two different pages, one has the option to check a group, but it is mandatory to check at least one (www.mgarchitects-ltd.com/subscribe), and the other is supposed to automatically sign the subscriber up for a group (www.mgarchitects-ltd.com/bid), but both forms put the subscriber into the Public group.
I actually tested it myself, selecting one group, or two groups, or even just creating a form that has a default group, where the user can’t select their own group. Every way I tested it myself (subsequently deleting my email from the subscribers after testing) I was registered in the “Public” group.

In reply to: Timing out and S – L – O – W !!!Okay, the trials continue. Maybe I should start a new thread for this one, but I never got around to doing any of your suggestions yesterday, but when I went to log onto wordpress this morning I get the “Forbidden” error.
“You don’t have permission to access /wp-login.php on this server.”
I’m going to assume this is a result of something on Network Solution’s servers, unless someone has another suggestion. Our website seems to be loading fine today, just can’t access WordPress Admin. Never had this problem before, so these are definitely different problems than my periodically slow site.
And a big THANK YOU for all your previous help!

In reply to: Timing out and S – L – O – W !!!Thank you, all, actually, I agree WPyogi, I think today’s problem may be different than our general issues (which seem to come and go). Today we can’t get on at all, because of the error message. I’ll contact Network Solutions and see what they have to say.
But in regards to the intermitantly slow site, I think I need to try your suggestions, Krishna. Thank you for testing that! I’ll try it out tomorrow and hopefully it alleviates some of these issues!
I’m glad to know I’m not the only one with issues today, though. This can be frustrating!!
