Our English mainpage is http://www.mexresorts.com/en/
And in Polylang the English language code is set to en. So in the settings it says “The language is set from the directory name in pretty permalinks
Example: http://www.mexresorts.com/en/my-post/”
So since I manually set the English main page to /en/ with pretty permalinks maybe there is some sort of conflict between Polylang and permalinks?

I have not tried because it is a live site and I don’t want to risk losing ranking in Google. I have to make it work because we have pages with very good ranking and I would prefer not to change the URL of them. Our main english site is /en/ is it possible that this confuses permalinks and polylan?
