    Good evening Alex, thank you for your reply and apologies for the inaccuracy. I am talking about User Access Manager plugin.

    I believe that I have created the group correctly in UAM and that I have assigned the group to a specific page that I want only a particular WordPress account, namely ‘English’ to have visibility of.

    Admittedly when I select the group name and click on read access / write access and role affiliation I am not sure which option to select and how this may relate to the role that is selected for the specific WordPress account that I have created ‘English’.

    Speaking of this account, when I login as the user I want them to only have access to a specific page in WordPress via the pages menu down the left side.

    In answer to your above question, when I was testing I set the role affiliation for the user group name to editor and when I logged in to WordPress at the top of the screen it said there were updates available but I didn’t have the correct access to update those plugins. However this may be because in WordPress I have the role for the user ‘English’ set as contributor.

    I hope the above makes sense and clarifies my previous posts?

    Thank you

    Further to this I don’t seem to be able to see the Pages menu on the left for my English pages but the permissions are working as it tells me I can’t update plugins.

    Thank you

    any assistance with this would be much appreciated please?

    Thank you

    I am getting the error

    After installing the latest version and logging out, I am no longer able to log back in again. The error message says

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_get_current_user() in /websites/123reg/LinuxPackage21/ec/cl/es/ecclesfield-school.com/public_html/news/wp-includes/user.php on line 227

    I can’t login to disable the plugin either now

    line 227 is
    $user = wp_get_current_user();

    as part of the function

    function get_current_user_id() {
    $user = wp_get_current_user();
    return ( isset( $user->ID ) ? (int) $user->ID : 0 );
    }

    Is this an issue with the plugin update itself? I can’t login now to disable it and test if this is the case though?

    Hi Mark

    yes that is correct you are.

    I admit that I don’t know if this is an issue with wordfence not sending e-mails for my particular account or if it could be an e-mail issue on my web hosting account.

    The reason being on my hosting I also have a contact form 7 e-mail form, of which also stopped sending me e-mails around about the same time period (after Tuesday of the week just gone) and this is also still unresolved.

    I also have wordfence installed on a wordpress news blog where I work (completely separate). I installed it after realising just how good the package is. That also stopped e-mailing me Weds / Thurs / Friday but I noticed it has started working again yesterday and today. I wasnt sure if it was a general wordfence issue.

    I’m afraid that I’m still trying to narrow the issue down to see if it is a wordfence or hosting problem.

    The e-mail alterts that I am referring to are those that can be setup from the options panel to notify me of any actvity of admins who log in to my wordpress. They appear to have stopped working. I’m unsure if there is a problem with my wordfence install?

    Hi all, I am having very similar issuues to the above. Using WordPress 3.1.4 and contact form version 2.4.5. – Green successful box yet no e-mail received.

    I recently added a new form to my site, tested the form and noticed no e-mail had been received, tried it again and still nothing received. So tested the others to discover none work. I have tried several e-mail addresses in the ‘to’ field within the ‘Mail’ section to test if there was a problem with an account but after using four e-mail addressses still no form received, and nothing in spam box either.

    One of these is a btinternet e-mail. I have logged in, checked the spam filter settings but nothing stands out as being problematic and the blacklist doesn’t contain anything linked to my domain. I have done this for my hotmail account and still nothing in spam, filter or black/white list. I have also been in touch with my personal hosting company. They can see the form has been ‘clicked / submitted’ and it all appears okay from their side so their technical support have got to investigate.

    The last form I received was about a month ago. I have not altered any settings other than the e-mail ‘to’ fields and am now struggling to see whats going wrong? Could it be the version of contact form and wordpress?

    May anybody be able to assist with this please?
    Thanks in advace.
