    Hi,

    I’ve now tested the functionality using the default theme Twenty Twenty-Five, and the variation images update correctly in that environment.

    However, this issue does not occur when I switch back to my usual theme, Postero. The strange part is that it’s never been a problem before — variation images have always worked properly with Postero, and this issue only became noticeable recently when I added a new variable product. I then checked some of my older variable products (which I know used to work fine), and noticed the same issue there as well.

    It’s possible that something has changed in a recent theme or plugin update, but I’m not sure what could be causing this incompatibility.

    Could you please advise on:

    • What I can do to restore compatibility while continuing to use the Postero theme?
    • Whether there are any known issues between Postero and variation image switching?
    • Any potential theme-side adjustments that could resolve this?

    Thanks for your quick response!

    Unfortunately, I can’t say exactly when the issue started. I haven’t created any variable products in quite some time, so I only noticed the problem today when I added a new variable product and realized the variation images weren’t switching as expected.

    To confirm the issue, I checked some older variable products that previously worked fine, and noticed that they now exhibit the same issue — the main product image doesn’t change when selecting different variations.

    I have made several updates and changes to the site over time (including plugins, theme tweaks, and performance optimizations like Asset CleanUp and ShortPixel), but since I didn’t test variation images during that period, I can’t pinpoint when it broke.

    I’m attaching the product URL and screenshots showing where the variation images are correctly assigned in the backend.

    I’ll also run a conflict test as you suggested and let you know the results.
