I applied your fix, using the Custom CSS plugin and it works perfectly.

Note the magnifier icon at the top-right of the header (next to the primary menu)
Clicking the icon produces a text entry field on a form, but entering any text has no effect.
Inspecting the element shows it coming from ‘sytle.css’ in the circumference theme.
