There are a few plugins but I deactivated them all except bbpress for testing. I can uninstall them if you think it will help.
I haven’t made any changes in the child theme except some added css, and I have replicated the problem with a couple of different clean themes.

I know gd attachments and bbp style pack must be a very common combination so I’m sure it must be something I’ve done wrong but I can’t think what.
