The host has restored the site and php memory set to:

php_value memory_limit 128M

Still the same error.

If I manually update will I loose the wordpress archive’s?

Thanks for the help FishDogFish,

I managed to get the ‘Comments’ and ‘Previous & Next’ links sorted.

But I can not for the life of me find the class for the ‘READ MORE’ links and the end of each post.

Does anyone know or have any idea what class it might be?

I changed the ico-comment a to {display:none;} as suggested above, and it has worked perfectly.
