All sorted. Went into Permalinks and changed to POST NAME and everything magically started working!! Don’t you just love computers ….

I have tried it again and the answer is yes it does show in a new tab.

re-check upload_path on this page /wp-content/options.php in most of cases it should be http://www.mywebsite.com/wp-content/uploads/

Yep you do but it won’t open in a browser
also add define(‘WP_DEBUG’, true); in your wp-config file. reference
