    Ed,

I had an epiphany last night when I was on support chat with my host provider about this issue. It dawned on me that (and I’m not sure why I had not thought about it before) when a user said they don’t see anything when clicking on the link I shared.

I have another plugin that manages the access to content on the site based on user levels. I remember a while back setting up a redirect for people who are not logged in or are not specific user levels to be redirected to. Going through on the setting of that app, I found the place where it redirects people to and I can see why I thought that it was set up correctly after seeing this setting. The setting options do not show the URL of the page to direct people to, it only shows the Name of the page. I set a custom URL for people to be redirected to (in this case the login page) and it worked!

Such an easy fix, and right in front of my face, but the URL in the redirection setting wasn’t indicating that it was incorrect, but in actuality, it was redirecting to an old URL address. It’s still odd that it would keep those addresses, but that’s another issue I can try to resolve.

Thank you, Ed, for taking the time to try and help. I am concerned about the last issue you stated about the “guid” field in the feed though. To change my URL, I simply requested a primary domain change through my host provider. That was quick and easy. Then in wordpress, I changed a few settings like the “WordPress Address (URL)” and the “Site Address (URL).” There wasn’t too many changes that I made in order for the site to migrate to the new domain name, but maybe I missed something that needed to be changed for all these embedded URLs in various places to change as well.

    Ed @erishel,

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, refreshing the permalinks did not yield any change. Also, in the .htaccess, I do not see anything referencing my old URL. However, I’m not too keen on how to read or make a change in the .htaccess. There isn’t much in the .htaccess, and definitely nothing that says the old URL.

I’m at a loss for where to go from here, and I do appreciate the help!
