In reply to: [qTranslate X] Google indexes my english siteOk, this is the explanation for the indexing of both versions, but I have a question regarding the translation process:
I don’t think there are a lot of sites that can be translated entirely very quickly. In the meantime, you might end up with a half translated site indexed by Google, just like me. I am not so bothered that some Romanians may end up on the English site, this has to do with the Google language settings and not the plugin, but I am very bothered that users might reach a half translated site that looks half baked and incomplete.
Is there a way to activate a language in qTranslateX and only when you are done, publish the translation?
Thanks for your help.

In reply to: [qTranslate X] Google indexes my english siteMy website is masea.ro
The English translation is masea.ro/enDigging a little deeper just now, I found out on a different computer that surprisingly both the Romanian and the English versions are indexed by Google. This is unexpected, as I said, there is no widget present on the site to switch the languages, the translation into English is work in progress. Why does this happen, does Googlebot scan both versions separately?
Going further, though I would agree this has little to do with the plugin, I can’t figure out how Google sometimes returns the Romanian version and other times the English version, for the same keywords. I visit the site only from Romania, from different computers and mobile devices. As far as I can see, the variables are:
1. google url, google.ro or google.com
2. google search settings, languages tab
3. google account settingsThanks.
