Hi,
I’m reaching out regarding an issue with the Google for WooCommerce integration, as I’ve now spent several hours troubleshooting without success.
Here’s what has already been attempted:
- Confirmed only one Merchant Center account is connected
- Disconnected and reconnected the account multiple times
- Tested with Jetpack both enabled and disabled
- Verified REST API is accessible at /wp-json/
- Confirmed wc/gla endpoints exist but product routes (e.g. /products) return 404
- Attempted to use the feed URL (?wc-api=wc_gla), which does not return a valid feed
- Recreated the product source in Merchant Center
Current result:
- Merchant Center shows “connection failed”
- The WooCommerce plugin does not appear to expose a valid public product feed
- No valid endpoint is available for scheduled fetch
At this point, the integration appears to be broken rather than misconfigured.
Could you please advise:
- Whether this is a known issue with the current plugin
- What the correct feed URL should be (if one exists)
- Or whether an alternative setup is recommended
Thanks in advance for your help.
Hi there
Thank you again for your continued help with this.I wanted to share a full update after repeating the setup process from scratch, as the issue is still persisting. This time, I:Disconnected all accounts within the pluginDeactivated and completely deleted the Google for WooCommerce pluginReinstalled and reactivated the plugin freshReturned to the setup screenAt this point, I noticed that all accounts were already shown as connected automatically (WordPress.com, Google, Merchant Center, and Google Ads), without needing to reconnect them manually.I then confirmed the following:-
My website is verified and claimed in Google Merchant CenterThe correct Merchant Center account is connectedDelivery and returns information has been added in Merchant CenterAll basic setup requirements appear to be complete
-
The interface previously showed full tabs (including Product Feed), but these intermittently disappear and only “Dashboard” and “Settings” remainAt one point, attempting to access the Product Feed resulted in a “Not allowed” messageThe issue persists even after clearing cache and testing with plugins disabled
However, the plugin still displays the following error:“There was an error loading your merchant center product statistics. Merchant Center account is not set up.”In addition to this:
I’ve attached screenshots and included the system status report for reference (as requested previously). At this stage, it appears the plugin may be stuck in an inconsistent or partially initialised state, despite the Merchant Center connection being valid and complete.Could you please advise on the next steps, or escalate this to your technical team for further investigation? Thanks again for your support — I really appreciate it.

Thank you again for your guidance.
I followed your suggestion and tested the setup in a clean environment:
- Deactivated all plugins except WooCommerce and Google for WooCommerce
- Switched to a default theme (Storefront)
- Attempted the full connection process again
Unfortunately, the issue still persists. The Google account and Google Ads connect successfully, but the Merchant Center step does not complete and no products are synced.
This suggests the issue is not related to a theme or plugin conflict, as it occurs even in a minimal setup.
I have also recorded the setup process to demonstrate exactly what happens during connection. However, the recording includes personal information (such as email addresses and google account details), so I’m not comfortable sharing it publicly on the forum.
Please let me know if there is a way to share this recording privately, or if you would prefer additional screenshots instead.
Thanks again for your help — I really appreciate it.
Hi there,
Thank you again for your help — I really appreciate your time on this.I just want to clarify one important detail, as I think this may help identify the issue more accurately.
From what I can see during setup:
- Google account connects successfully
- Google Ads account connects successfully
- However, Google Merchant Center is never actually set up or connected during the process
Even after completing the full setup flow multiple times:
- Merchant Center does not appear as fully connected in the way shown in your reference screenshot
- The setup seems to skip or fail silently at the Merchant Center stage
- As a result, no product feed is created and no products are synced
To be clear, I have already attempted the following multiple times:
- Disconnected all accounts
- Reconnected and completed the full setup flow carefully
- Repeated this process at least a dozen times
- Ensured the correct Google account is selected each time
- Completed all prompts and permissions during setup
Despite this, Merchant Center never links.
I’ve also included the System Status Report again (as was also requested yesterday, but happy to send again): https://pastebin.com/BkkVe7qV
At this stage, it seems the issue is specifically with the Merchant Center connection not completing.
Could this please be escalated for further investigation?
Thanks again — I really appreciate your support.
Certainly, here is that screenshot: https://crepesandcastles.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Screenshot-2026-03-17-at-14.22.19-scaled.png
Hello!
I deactivated both and tried the sync, but that didn’t work I’m afraid. Here’s the screenshot: ~
