Thank you very much for the help.
Yes, that seems to be the problem – I had thought I had checked all of the plugins but obviously missed that one. Well done and again thank you very much for taking the time to look the site over for me and to help me get it back up and running (sort of). Will contact Background Manager to see if there is a remedy. Not quite the way I want the site to be presented but better than not until a ‘fix’ comes along whether through an update to Background manager (if that is a concern with the plugin) or with Safari on the next iOS update.

Just checked and I do have the Kadence Toolkit activated for the Virtue theme and there is the option for “Theme Options”
Perhaps it is not a function for the Hatch theme. I still posted the question in the wrong forum (this one). I have moved the question over to the Hatch theme forum.

and I have the Kadence Toolkit activated in the Hatch theme, but perhaps the Theme options is not an available option in the Hatch Theme???

Yep re-naming files did it. NO symbols in the file name – of course!

When I go to Edit the Gallery on the Portfolio Page, Even after making changes and updating, when I come back to the edit gallery options, my Columns are always 3 and my Thumbnail is always ‘Thumbnail’ no matter what I select before updating the gallery.

Just went and deleted the portfolio page, permanently deleted images from media gallery, re-saved permalinks, closed wordpress.
Cleared cache in firefox and chrome (no safari at present to play with).
Opened WordPress, created portfolio page, reimported images (all 1024 on the long side (verts and Horiz). set page to Image Grid, 3 column and updated. Everything works in Chrome, Safari and IE.
But can’t get more that 3 columns in grid or some of the thumbs do not show.
So….progress but I would really like to get more columns – 5 or 6.

I cleared the gallery,
re-saved permalinks
updated the page
went to chrome, cleared browser history = complete including cache
went to swan lake page – images still show (as slider)…..what’s up – should be nothing.
I’m making a mistake of course.
Anyways,
reimported images in to swan lake gallery – updated page to Image grid
Still the same.
hopefully I’m not wasting your time with a simple mistake.

Thanks for looking into this. Here’s the link: http://www.mitchstringer.ca/?page_id=655I have some how got the Haystack Rock page working – I ended up changing the number in the grid to 3. 4 or above crashes (and I would prefer 5 or 6 in the grid if possible).
I have changed Swan Lake from Image slider back to Image grid so you can see the result. Again, everything is peachy in EI 11
