I still think this is an issue. When I check the list of Cron Tasks, inpsyde_phone-home_checkin’s next run is “now”. If I check it again in 10 minutes, next run is again “now”. Whereas, if things go as they should, next run should be at least in “13 days 23 hours 50 minutes”.
Which means instead of running inpsyde_phone-home_checkin once in 14 days, it is being initiated with every WP pageview.

In your screenshot you have a bunch of overdue cron tasks (I am guessing Development environment with no traffic?). If you view enough site pages to let cron catch up on old tasks, you’ll probably see the same behaviour.
