1.6.2 fixed the issue for us — thanks!
@arielk-1 and @tobiasbg I am able to edit again after updating to Elementor 1.6.2! There is still a mis-styled Add Form button that doesn’t seem to do anything though.

I can agree with ToNy_EsP. When I deactivate the TablePress plugin, the Elementor 1.6.1 text editor does not break.
When the text editor is broken, the text is missing and it looks like this:

Just updated to Elementor 1.6.1 with high hopes, but the text editor problem remains 🙁
We’re using Genesis with Dynamik child theme and Customizer seems to work without errors.
I’m seeing the same thing — the text editor displays no text whether viewing the visual or text tab. Can’t edit at all until this is fixed.
I’m seeing the same problem, but we’re still running Jetpack 5.1. No text is editable even though it exists in the block, buttons are outsized, etc.
Just disabled Jetpack and the problem remains.

In the example at https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/869495/alt-display.png, if the user clicks on Media, for example, the list is filters to only show capabilities related to media. The same with Pages, Taxonomies, etc.
