In reply to: Extra Character in Search URLI used the standard search plugin and modified the code and styles in the wp-includes/general-template. The standard version did work and I was able to style as-needed. Hope that helps!

Though the marker does show up, the map is covered in grey, . It does seem to work not in a lightbox, but I don’t understand why it’s half working in it.
