    I went to bed last night, determined to tackle this today, and when I checked the site, the new CSS was on display.

    It turns out that CSS changes don’t go live immediately. SOmething to with the cache – I don’t understand it but its what happened here. I found this which explains it better than I can:

    Thanks for the tip on firebug. I looked at my site using firebug, and found the header:

    I made it bold, so you can see where the ?ver=3.4.2 has been introduced. Deleting the ?ver=3.4.2 on firebug, I see the changes I want made on the site. So the real question is how do I permanently edit that section of my head code to remove the ?ver=3.4.2 so that it just calls up blue.css and not blue.css?ver=3.4.2?

    And why can I not see blue.css?ver=3.4.2? in the folder on my domain that it purports to be in? The only css in there is blue.css.
