I enabled the Bleeding Edge option and it updated to 4.9. Not mentioned anywhere in the plugin to use that option for the Beta releases. Thanks!
Quick update. I just tried saving my settings and it worked. Now all is good!

I too experienced the same error but it disappeared when I updated the plugin. However, when I enter the settings page and turn on Posts and select show After post and then click on the save icon, my settings are not saved. Thanks for any help you can give.
