I think it’s easier for me to just delete the blog at this point, as chmod and permissions and PHP seems like a lot to do in order to upload a photo.

It wasn’t obvious to me how to add categories and links without that function, so I went ahead and downloaded and installed the Links Manager.

I installed tinyMCE and edited — I didn’t see a different visual editor: http://composing.org/wpfix/wpfix3.jpg — but I made the changes again and this time they seem to have stuck.
