Actually it turns out it was an issue with my child pages pointing to my initial temp site. My host resolved it for me.

So I went and searched for your plugin through my wordpress login (as opposed to the wordpress support site) and it worked a treat- I suspect it was very much user error and by installing it through my wordpress itself it sent all the files to the right place.
