Oh sorry Jan. Innuvo actually didn’t offer to do anything, it as me who asked out of the blue. I didn’t realise that this sort of thing was forbidden. I’ll check out the jobs board as indicated above. Thanks.

Oh my goodness, that sounds very knowledgeable! I’m afraid I don’t have the confidence to do this myself. If I message you the details perhaps you could access my backend? (:-D LOL, sorry.)

    Hi,

I don’t know what the Jetpack plugin is. :-\

Unfortunately there is nothing about css anywhere in the settings that I listed above.

I have a feeling the solution is going to be something pretty simple. As I indicated in the previous post – you can see how the ‘Recent Blogs’ widget nicely aligns to the right in the original theme, and if you follow the link to my finished website, the ‘Recent Blogs’ widget is randomly located towards the left, just past the centre of the page. Looks weird. Almost as if something’s pushed it out of alignment. So frustrating.

I’m afraid not. Under Appearance, there are just six options:

    Themes
    Customise
    Widgets
    Menus
    Background
    Editor

Under ‘Themes’ there is the option to customise the theme I’m using currently, and then it leads you to a page with the following six options:

    Site Title & Tagline
    Colours
    Background Image
    Navigation
    Widgets
    Static Front Page

Under the option of ‘Customise’ (under ‘Appearance’) it gives me the above six options (site title etc). I’m none the wiser. 🙁

When I first chose this theme, the footer in question (Recent Blog Posts) was aligned neatly to the right. I suspect something in the design process has made it slide over more towards the left. It looks untidy and unfinished.

Here is a link to the original theme. And now, looking at this again for the first time in ages, I see the ‘text widget’ and ‘about the footer’ sections in that footer seem to be missing! Tsk. Not a very good web designer experience.

Ooh! I just found a way to get to the footer hmtl code:

    Appearance/editor/footer (footer.php)

Here’s the entire html for the footer (although I have two footers and can’t be sure this relates to the one I’d like to align to the right)

[ Large code redacted, please use pastebin.com instead ]

    Hmmm…

I have tried to follow your trail but I can only get as far as:

    Appearance/themes/customise mono/

…and after that there is no option of css. I have a list down the left hand side that offers:

    site title & tagline
    colours
    background image
    navigation
    widgets
    static front page

There doesn’t appear to be a way to edit the css under this navigation. Any ideas? Do I need to get to the footer html?

Extremely grateful. Will try that now.
