Hey guys, all I had to do was update one property page and that “fixed” all the permalinks. I just changed some text, clicked the update button and when I went to visit site, everything was visible again. The only other thing I found was one feature image was missing. I just had to add it back from media. No problem and everything is 100% working again.

WPCasa provided a plugin fix and the site is back up. Resolved!!
Sorry for the late reply this morning. It’s a whirlwind here … Joe, you guys are super heroes! The hotfix plugin did the trick. The only issue I had was the individual property pages were returning a 404 … until I made a text edit on one page. Once I updated that page, ALL pages linked. I don’t know technically how that fixed the 404, but the site is 100% and you guys are simply amazing!! Thank you so much. I have a happy client now!!
It would seem so … I can’t get them to reply, so my hope was to see if there was anyone familiar with this theme who fixed it this morning, through the database.
This is part of the WP Casa child theme they develop, called Penthouse. So there was no customization for this aspect … which is what has me perplexed. I appreciate your help and think at this point, I need to get a reply from the theme developer. If that doesn’t happen, I’ll go ahead and restore the site. I can’t let it go longer than today, and I’m not going to get paid for my time on this, so it’s cutting into other work. That’s my time frame.
If I hear from WP Casa, I will post the fix, or whatever info they give me. I can’t be the only person that will have this happen.
I’m not a developer, but I went into MySQL from the Cpanel and looking at the Browse tab … and found _property_id in the meta_key column that I can tell corresponds with one of the properties and has the property id … so it appears it is there.
Are you suggesting I can make a change in the database to change Listings back to Properties?
Good idea. I’ll go check now.
I will do a backup/restore of the site if I don’t find an answer soon … I’m waiting to hear back from WP CASA, but don’t expect them to be helpful … so I’ll go find out how I can install the previous installation of WP … or if that will occur with restoring the backup files.

In reply to: New admin panel 3.8 is terribleI am warming up to the new design. As with any significant change with a software app update, there can be a period of transition, before you find yourself loving the new look, features, or functionality.
So I’m back to say that while I was negative at first, I am now coming around. For those of you that like the old interface, download the WP Classic plugin. I found that it worked fine. But since I work on sites at work that are a mixed bag of the new 3.8 and older versions . . . I found myself needing to spend time with the new and am appreciating it better. So it’s time to move on and embrace it.
If you feel there are issues with functionality, plugins, options . . . then by all means, bring it up on a different thread, so the volunteers can spend their time improving WP.
