In reply to: [WooCommerce] Past due actions slowing site?Hi, I did update WordPress to the latest version just after I sent my message. I have now run those 2 tools in the WC status section. My site is now running much better, and my GTMetrix score has improved substantially. I did several things:
Optimized all my images to WebP format (used Ewww Image optimizer plugin)
Ran all of the WC past-due actions & checked the database etc were all the most up-to-date version. I will check this at least once a week as it was very built up when I got to it.
Changed my settings in LiteSpeed Cache – this made the most difference BUT I now have to figure out how to set the Object Cache as that is not turned on. I think once I do that everything will be as good as it can possibly be.
Thank you very much for your assistance, I truly appreciate the detailed responses I have received.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Past due actions slowing site?Hi, I have run almost all of the actions under the past due tab. There were over 30 of the hook wc_stripe_database_cache_prefectch_async in amongst the others – is this the issue? I don’t have the option to bulk run, the only bulk option I have is to delete, so I’ve run each hook individually. The site is still not running any faster. I’ve also updated my wc version this morning to 10.6.1. Is there a section in the ‘tools’ section under the status bar which could help? I don’t want to use these incorrectly but I’m getting desperate.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Past due actions slowing site?Hi Shahzeen, Thank you for your response. Please see below screenshots. There are 6 pages so I have included only page 1, page 6 and the banner. When I try I can only I only disabled the image optimization plugin after I started having issues, so it isn’t that. Which actions can I run safely? Do any depend on something else running? Does it matter? I don’t want to break my site. When I first experienced the slow down and noticed the banner, there were over 100 past actions, so I deleted one at the end, and now it says 26 past-due in the banner, but 56 past-due in the tab above the list, with 60 pending. I normally maintain this site with very few issues, this is the first time it has really slowed down.

Hi, has there been any progress with this issue yet? If not, does anyone have a suggestion for another plugin that does work to do the same thing? I’m desperate to get this resolved as we have a competition coming up where certain menu items must be invisible until logged into particular member levels.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Migration problemsHi Abz,
Thanks for the response. I don’t know if this will help you, but in my Local site I deleted the two events which seemed to be stopping everything (after reverting to draft etc didn’t work). It didn’t work until I emptied the trash. The two events were both on the same weekend, October 1 – 2. They were not created on the same day. I was just wondering if it could be a date thing with the month/day being 1001 ? I’m in Australia. After I trashed them the migration appeared to work.
I won’t attempt the migration on the live site yet just in case, and will keep an eye on this thread and the FB page.
Thanks again,

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Migration problemsI have issues too. I ran the update on my live site after reading the notes. All ok. Have not run the migration part on the live site. Downloaded a backup & put it on Local by Flywheel staging site (PHP8). Can’t run the migration preview but went to migrate anyway. Stopped every time with error codes. The main one was The event xxxx generated an error [The 104400 is greater than the duration of the event].
Checked all of them, couldn’t see any errors. I am only running the most basic features, no ticketing or repeat events, only with the free version. https://www.victorianquilters.org/?post_type=tribe_events and yes I am going to fix the permalink.
Is this something that another update will address?- This reply was modified 3 years, 8 months ago by mtadesigns.

In reply to: Switching Domain NamesHi Andrew,
Those instructions cover what the name points to, not the contents of your site. To put the files into the new domain name, you have to go into the cpanel for your avltest.com site then move them into your whoismrre.com site.
In WordPress there are several plugins to help you do that – can you login to your dashboard? To get into your dashboard, if you know your login details, in the top toolbar type in your site name followed by wp-login (so http://www.whoismrre.com/wp-login ) . If you can do that, go to the plugin section, click add new & put migrate into the search bar. I use Duplicator, but there are several available. The help documentation in duplicator is extensive, and I’m sure the others will be too – and youtube is definitely your friend when you want help with using any of those plugins. Watch a couple of tutorials first then decide which one suits you best.
If you need help to access your cpanel, I would contact godaddy again and be very detailed about your issues. I don’t know what their support service is like but I hope you get this resolved soon.
Best of luck!
Marita
