Thanks for taking the time to reply Jamesbond08 but I have done the things you suggest before posting on here as that is how it should work, but alas, mine isn’t responding as expected. I have tried entering a wide range of negative and positive values in the margin and padding boxes, in linked and unlinked mode. They make no change to the excessive white space which is there whether all 3 builder bars are empty or have things placed in them. I lost control after updating to the new version of wp6.2 and wonder if anyone else has lost control in the header builder. (The footer builder also has a mind of its own but that’s for another day).
