In reply to: [MyCurator Content Curation] Manually choose images added to new contentMyCurator actually does save only the photos that are published in posts. Training Posts are trashed after a few weeks, which happens automatically in the background, or by you trashing them manually. Later WordPress finally deletes the trash items, again in the background automatically. During the final deletion process, MyCurator removes any pictures from your medial library that are associated with those unused Training Posts. The whole process can take a few weeks, so it seems like the pictures stay around, but they are eventually removed.

In reply to: [MyCurator Content Curation] Comments setting for training posts "made live"Yes, it was brought to our attention earlier (maybe you?). We are testing it and we are hoping to have it in this next release in a couple of weeks or so as well as some changes for WP 4.5. Thanks

In reply to: [MyCurator Content Curation] Problems adding topicsSorry we missed your email. Here are a few things to try to connect with our cloud services:
Make sure that your host allows outgoing PHP CURL calls to other websites from a plugin. PHP CURL is how we communicate with our cloud service to get the Plan information as well as curate articles.Check the error log for errors – choose Logs from the MyCurator menu, then choose Error from the Drop Down named Activity, and click Select Filter. Send us a screen print of any errors or an email listing them.
Have your host check the server error log to see if there are any errors related to MyCurator or an inability to connect with our cloud site, http://tgtinfo.net
Feel free to email us at support at target-info dot com , we’ll be on the lookout and won’t miss your email this time.

In reply to: [MyCurator Content Curation] Fatal ErrorThis seems to be a fatal error in the Gazette theme, probably a conflict with MyCurator. We will see if we can find a solution in MyCurator.

In reply to: [MyCurator Content Curation] API keyGet It and Source It seem to have a conflict with the Point Finder theme, which we are investigating.
We do use very tight security on our site and occasionally block IP’s that fail login attempts. If clients have problems, Contact Us with your IP (go to whatsmyip.com to find it) and we will unblock your IP.

The new version of MyCurator, 2.4, fixes conflicts with Postman.
Could you contact me by email at support at target-info.com? I have some questions to ask. Thanks.
I’ll reach out to Jason and see what we can do.

In reply to: [MyCurator Content Curation] website thinks we're a botTo grab the web page, MyCurator uses a service that knows how to pull out text from a web page (and not get all of the ads etc). This service will look like a bot to the page. I’ll contact the service to see what might be done. Not sure if we can make it not look like a bot to them.

In reply to: [MyCurator Content Curation] Can a Topic be set to have no categoryI tested it on several test sites with WordPress 4.4 and can’t reproduce it. Maybe you have a theme option to require a tag? you might check theme settings. You might also check this by creating a draft post manually (not using MyCurator) and Not setting a tag. Then when you save to draft, see if it adds the uncategorized tag to the post.

In reply to: [MyCurator Content Curation] Can a Topic be set to have no categoryMake sure that the “Use Search 2 Keywords as Tags” value in the Topic edit screen is cleared. Then MyCurator will not put any tags in if you have chosen No Tags. If you are getting uncategorized as a tag, I don’t know where that would come from. WordPress doesn’t require a tag. You could see if it is in the tag list in Posts? Maybe you use another plugin that works with Tags and forces it, or your theme displays uncategorized if there is no tag? Or maybe your theme is displaying the Category of Uncategorized where you think it is a Tag?
WordPress has always required a category, so you should have seen Uncategorized as a Category default in previous versions of WordPress and MyCurator.

In reply to: [MyCurator Content Curation] Can a Topic be set to have no categoryWordPress requires a Category and utilizes the Uncategorized default (which you can’t get rid of) if the field is left blank. That is why we force you to choose a category for a Topic.

In reply to: [MyCurator Content Curation] Removing topic made all training posts unusableYou should be able to edit all of the Topic settings except the name,. If you do edit the fields, they don’t affect existing Training Posts, just new ones, so changing the Author and default Category should affect future Training Posts after the edit.
As for your new Topic, I’m assuming you used a new Topic name when you added the new one. That would leave the old Training Posts as ‘orphans’. You might try adding a Topic with the old name. That should link to the older training posts and allow you to work with them again.
