I also continued my search of plugins and finally found this one: Media Library File Download.

It hasn’t been updated in a while but it looks pretty simple.

For anyone else looking for this solution:

I used the WordPress File Upload Pro Plugin by Iptanus.

Then open the visual editor of the upload form, go to Interoperability tab and activate option “Add Uploaded Files to Media Library” option. This will make the plugin ignore the path set in Upload Path and use the default upload path of WordPress.

I appreciate you doing that Shawn but that is actually part of the problem. I have a page at https://thetrinitymission.org/fiveminutes . But every time I run the validator Powerpress changes that page to be a feed. Then I have to deactivate Powerpress, reset the permalinks, go to the page, then reactivate Powerpress. If you can help me solve why that is happening, that would be super helpful.

Go to the page first https://thetrinitymission.org/fiveminutes

Then try validating and then go back to the page.

Thanks. Not solved, but pressing the Validate link is causing more issues to the site, so I am just going to bail.

it started happening again.

So I switched briefly to the standard (non-child) twenty-ninteen theme. Still was redirecting to the feed. So I deactivated all plugins and switched themes. Things worked fine.

So I switched back to old theme. Still fine.

So I re-activated all plugins. Still fine.

Not sure how that works. But things seem to be working fine now. Thanks for your help.

Are there any plugins that can show all of the WordPress files pulled and in what order when a page loads? There have been countless occasions where I would have loved to have that.
