Once again, thanks for the feedback guys.

LiverpoolLad – obviously the page width was a decision we had to make. After examining the current stats for the site we decided to go with a design that catered to users above 800×600. As for the links in the sidebar I find them quite readable, but of course if it becomes an issue it is very easy to fix like you said.

Deko – the javascript is a hack to make transparent PNG images work in IE. I stole the font-size from my own design and believe it is correct, though I ended up defining all font sizes afterwards, so I’m not positive.

Once again thanks for the comments, and DesignPastor I will drop you an e-mail soon.

Hey guys, thanks for all of the positive feedback 🙂

I didn’t modify any template, this was a from-scratch design that I did for a client. So, as to the making it available idea, probably not going to happen. Perhaps in the future I will release a similar theme, though no promises 🙂

Thanks again for all of the feedback.

Slimple has just been updated to version 0.9, including various updates/features.

I like it. One thing I might do is change the background color of the underlined list items (i.e. everything under navigation and networks) on mouseover. Oh, and perhaps put a more of a header/title graphic where it now just says the Kiss Off Projects.

Just so everyone knows, the design is now live and functional at ThatMatt. Any input is still welcome 🙂

Thanks for the input! I agree, it is a bit “playful” looking, but that’s what I wanted to try and go for this time. Plus the icons were just so pretty…

Just for you, moshu, it now validates 🙂

red-star, I’ll be in contact with you within the next hour or two.

Yeah, that’s on the list, but it’s something I’m going to do when I am sure I have everything in there that I want in there. Thanks for the heads up, though.

    Forum: Themes and Templates
    In reply to: Page tabs

I’m viewing your site and the Wishlist tab (I didn’t even know it was there, accidentally hovered over it) is below the Home Tab and, well, invisible. Might have to delete a tab or adjust the padding or something. Just wanted to give you a heads up.

Just as a heads up, I have now released v1.1 of MinusOne. This update fixes a few spacing/padding errors, provides templates for tag archives using Ultimate Tag Warrior, and more.

For a full list of changes, to see the theme in action, and to download, see this post.

Will look at both options and see how they look before deciding, I’ll be sure to let you know when I update.

    Thanks for the comments.

eeeoa – I’m not exactly sure what you mean about free up room, etc. For information on social bookmarks see this article.

Vryce – I’ll add the shading thing to my to-do list for the next release. Or do you think perhaps it would be better added to the tags bar?

Also, I understand the problems, or rather, limitations with the top navigation bar. Being that this is a fixed width theme, there’s really no great way around it. Three suggestions would be: 1) edit the top graphic to be able to include your blog title in a more compact way or 2)display the pages in the sidebar, coding in 3 or 4 important navigational links in the topbar instead, and 3) eliminate the links in the topbar and use it just for your title.

EDIT: looks like you fixed it, I’m assuming you changed some padding or width values. Looks good.

I like the idea (though the German version button isn’t on the right in IE for me). However I think to garner more attention you would really need to show what png transparency, etc. can do. By that I mean it should be used all over the page: in the sidebar, on posts, everything. Not just in the header.

To those that may have downloaded:

I was a huge idiot and left out a needed plugin, limit-post.php, obviously this causes a big error on the main page. I have reuploaded the archive with the needed plugin.

In addition I am already tossing around ideas for the next version (1.? or 2.0) to include various color scheme options and a revamped top bar (the boxes).

Once again I apologize for the mistake.

I’m currently using Bionic Jive (though I’m in the process of building a new theme). I’ve noticed there is a lot more plain html rather than CSS in the theme, so make sure you look (in your case as said above) in the header file where the body tag starts.
