In reply to: [Ocean Extra] Parse error with Ocean-Extra Plug inI have found that my hosts PHP is Running PHP version: 5.3.27. That apparently is my problem. I have asked that they update it.
Over time, I am learning. Thanks for letting me know what the problem was.

In reply to: [Ocean Extra] Parse error with Ocean-Extra Plug inBy the way, I did find that I was able to use WP after just deleting the plugin; which was much better than what I thought was happening. So I can use WP, just not the Oceanwp theme that I need with the tutorial.

In reply to: [Ocean Extra] Parse error with Ocean-Extra Plug inThank you so much for your reply. I am on WP 4.9.4, the latest version. Yesterday, I downloaded Oceanwp version 1.5.10 and Ocean Extra plugin version 1.4.10. Should I have downloaded something different; and if so, where can I get it?
I apologize for being ignorant on a PHP version; but I have been using Dreamweaver for my site and had just started using Muse, before it was cancelled. I am assuming that the dashboard.php file is what you are talking about; but I would have thought that the latest version would have been included in the plugin download. Any help would be most appreciated. I really want to like WordPress and this has been most frustrating.
