In reply to: [PDF Embedder] PDF.js worker loaded without cache-busterHi @macscr ,
Thanks a lot for getting in touch!
I appreciate the detailed report of this issue- the details you have included will be very helpful. I have shared it with our dev team who are investigating it further.
In the meantime, I would recommend clearing your cache, both on site and CDN. If your CDN allows, you can also try adding the PDF Embedder assets URLs to be excluded from any kind of caching. You can find the PDF Embedder assets URLs here: https://wp-pdf.com/docs/using-caching-or-minifying-plugins/
I will let you know what our team finds regarding this issue as soon as we have the details.
Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions meanwhile.

In reply to: [PDF Embedder] PDF’s are not loading, just receiving the message “loading …”Hi @hatthabasel ,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
I checked the page you shared and the PDFs seem to be loading well from my end. Please see this screenshot: https://a.supportally.com/i/suwevj. Are you still using the latest version of PDF Embedder?
Regarding the issue coming up after the update, this can happen in case your site has cached the PDF Embedder assets such that your pages are trying to load the older versions of the assets whereas your PDF Embedder has already updated to the latest version.
We have a guide on working with caching and minification plugins here: https://wp-pdf.com/docs/using-caching-or-minifying-plugins/
And if your server has caching setup, please also adjust the settings there.
Let us know how it goes!

In reply to: [PDF Embedder] Funktionsleiste wird im Firefox unkorrekt dargestelltHi @tihajo ,
Thank you for the update.
Since the issue happens intermittently and appears to be specific to Firefox on desktop (while working fine on your iPad), it is also likely to be a browser-specific rendering issue, a local browser extension conflict, or a specific configuration within Firefox’s built-in PDF viewer.
In case you the issue persists across other PDFs, please try the following troubleshooting steps too:
- Test in Firefox Troubleshoot Mode: Sometimes, Firefox add-ons (like ad blockers, script blockers, or privacy extensions) can interfere with how scripts and PDF toolbars load. Try opening Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode (formerly Safe Mode) by clicking the menu button ☰ -> Help > Troubleshoot Mode… and click Restart. Check if the toolbar renders correctly there.
- Check Firefox’s PDF Settings: Firefox has its own built-in PDF viewer (PDF.js), which can sometimes conflict with PDF Embedder. Head to Firefox Settings > General, scroll down to the Applications section, find Portable Document Format (PDF), and see what it is set to. If it’s set to open in an external application or behave differently, try setting it to Open in Firefox to see if that stabilizes the embed.
- Console Errors:The next time the toolbar fails to load correctly, could you right-click on the page, select Inspect, and look at the Console tab? If you see any red error messages there, please take a screenshot or copy-paste them here. This will tell us exactly which script or style file Firefox is failing to load.

In reply to: [PDF Embedder] Funktionsleiste wird im Firefox unkorrekt dargestelltHi @tihajo,
Thanks for the update!
Since the toolbar is still malfunctioning, below are two other culprits we should check next:
1. Caching and Minification
If your PDF Embedder asset files are being cached or minified incorrectly, the site will load outdated files, which can cause layout and toolbar issues. Please check our guide on how to configure your caching setup here: https://wp-pdf.com/docs/using-caching-or-minifying-plugins/
2. Plugin or Theme Conflicts
It is also highly likely that a conflict with your theme or another plugin is interfering with the viewer’s JavaScript when the accordion opens. Could you please try running a conflict test? We have a step-by-step guide on how to safely do this here: https://wp-pdf.com/docs/checking-for-plugin-conflicts/
Please try the steps above and let us know what you find!

In reply to: [PDF Embedder] PDF’s are not loading, just receiving the message “loading …”Hi @hatthabasel ,
Thanks for reaching out with this issue.
We recently updated to the bundled PDF.js rendering library to v2.16.105 with our latest version.
The first thing is to ensure you have updated your PDF Embedder to the latest version. After that, you also need to exclude PDF Embedder assets from caching, as shown in our guide here: Using Caching or Minifying Plugins.
You should the clear your cache and confirm if the issue is now resolved.
