Thanks, I wasn’t aware of that! In the end I decided to go for Akismet Anti-spam: Spam Protection and Sucuri Security – Auditing, Malware Scanner and Security Hardening which I also seen to have installed in another blog I run.

PS: I found the result of the warning messages: Jetpack’s social posting sharing functionality is the only “plugin” that doesn’t appear in the snowball article writing interface. Maybe you can fix that so it is compatible with Snowball? As a workaround (and because Jetpack doesn’t allow post sharing to instagram) we use the plugin “Blog2Social” in its free edition.
