In reply to: tag in post bodySee, I don’t have admin access, so I can’t edit stylesheets directly. Is there another way, apart from using inline css?

Make sure that you have wp-content/uploads typed in the “Store uploads in this folder” field.
It says it has “wp-content/uploads” by default, but this is not the case.

In reply to: Media Library uploading to wrong directoryThanks, but I really can’t find the files anywhere. I’m using Coda as an FTP client, but there’s no way to search the remote site – do I have to download my entire site to a remote directory and just use spotlight, or is there a better way to do this?

In reply to: Media Library uploading to wrong directoryAnd yes, I’ve been through the sticky at the top of this forum – none of the images are greyscale (if that matters anymore) and, since they work on the local instance but not the live instance, although the two are (as far as I know) identical, I doubt it’s an issue with the images themselves.
Is there an easy way to find where the images are actually being uploaded to?

In reply to: Offline WordPress DocumentationI did find a WordPress Primer and Quick Start Guide, but sadly, it’s about 92 pages too short.
Forum: Requests and Feedback
In reply to: Offline WordPress DocumentationI did check amazon.ca (yup – I’m a canuck) for WordPress books, but all that turned up were a few intro to wordpress blogging books, some dev books, and a WordPress/Drupal/phpBB book. I’m looking into using wordpress as a CMS, not simply a blog, so none of them really catered to my needs.
If there were, say, an O’reilly book on WordPress, I’d be in heaven.
The thing is, all the documentation exists in the codex, but I’m looking for a quick-fix, one-stop-shop version of it. An ebook, essentially.

In reply to: Homepage Error – Default ViewThat’s the thing – I didn’t leave any WordPress files in the root folder, yet I still get a blank screen when I try to access my website. I’m at a complete loss at this point.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Homepage Error – Default ViewAh, I meant I moved all wordpress files from the root folder of my website to a new folder in my website, then synchronized them using my FTP client. The local and remote views thing was just my assurance that I had actually made the changes to the site, and not simply on my own computer.
