    Problem resolved by adding the following line into the <head> section of the page.
    <meta http-equiv=”x-ua-compatible” content=”ie=edge” />

    To do this I went to Theme Editor and modified the Theme Header and pasted the line in the <head> section with the other meta tags. This disables IE compatibility view which allowed the plugin to work properly.
