Shabti, please provide a means to download an older version of the Pro plugin that still works. I have it installed on a live site which now doesn’t function correctly because of your erroneous update.
I recommend you roll back to the previous version and don’t expect a support answer here any time soon – only six out of 35 support requests on here have been answered in the last 2 months and even on their Facebook Page, the most recent comment is someone complaining that they haven’t received an answer in 7 days.
Yet the developer continues to advertise the Pro version of the plugin so I guess it must still be maintained, although I would call into question the “with great support” statement on the website.
It also breaks any Conditional Logic applied to fields in the ACF interface.
This happens even on the Pro version (I’m posting this here because the support forum for Pro users has been removed from the plugin developers website without explanation).
Konrad,
Thank you for taking the time to answer my post so thoroughly. I appreciate it.
You’re right, the “Filter by Post Author” is injected by the ACF Frontend Form plugin but the options available are limited. I will try and implement a solution as you suggested.
Thank you again for your help.
Patrick

In reply to: [Post Type Switcher] Moving from Toolset to JetEngineHi, yes, JetEngine is much easier to use. It is also far easier to display almost everything in a highly visual way on the front end, IMO.
Like you, I found Toolset challenging.
With regards to switching posts, as per my original question, I ended up using the superb WPAllImport. We had thousands of posts to migrate and it was still a challenge but WPAllImport made it possible and a darn sight easier than anything else I know of.
Which brings me to another point of difference between Toolset and JetEngine. Toolset’s support is, and always has been excellent. JetEngine not so much. I won’t go into detail here but as an example, on three separate questions, I have had their support tell me something isn’t possible. Only upon pressing and rewording my question several different ways to Sunday did I eventually get them to understand what I was trying to do and give me the solution. They also argue a lot when you tell them something isn’t working right and usually just say ‘you must be doing it wrong’. Lots of time spent sending screenshots to get them to admit to bugs.
So, if good technical support is really important to you, consider sticking with Toolset. As mentioned above, excellent.
For the record, if Toolset’s support is excellent, then WPAllImport‘s is out of this world. So helpful! And, as for this Post Type Switcher plug-in that this is posted under? As you can see, non-existent.
My site is using iThemes security and I found this on the GitHub forums for this plugin. If you’re using it too, this should work for you.
“Thanks for reporting. If you are using a security or Firewall plugin there can be limited on long URL strings, which could be the cause.
If you are using iThemes security can you uncheck this option and see if it resolves the issue.”

Same here – it seems the URL is too long for the server to process.

In reply to: [MyCurator Content Curation] Unable to add content to postlol – so, basically, the problem here is that I forgot how to use the plugin *embarrassed*
In my defence, it was a long time ago and I’ve been developing the site ever since. Sorry for the pointless post though! 🙂
