Oddly enough I’m using tables because FireFox won’t display my page properly.

Whenever I have a CSS div with a background image set tp say 700 pixels wide if I add a padding to the left side of that div of say 15 pixels then in Firefox 15 pixels of the background image is sticking out the side of the page!

That’s not a standards issue, it’s not an IE issue it’s just Firefox being weird, it’s better overall but it’s not perfect by anymeans.

Anyway thanks for all the great replies, I think I’ll stick to using tables.

Well I’d like to change a bunch of stuff however I have no idea where to do that because I don’t know where the template for it is (the CSS for it isn’t in my CSS either) so I figured it would be easier to start fresh.

I’ve made a new topic with my code and a link to the site and I asked about other problems I was having.

Well I don’t necassarily want to use tables what I do want to know is how to do the same sorta thing with CSS.
Because I have a table with cells holding various parts of the box that surrounds the news post and a couple of cells that hold the title, comments and content and I can’t think of any way to do that without tables.

So my question is how to do that with CSS INSTEAD of Tables.

There’s nothing on there besides random jibberish to test it and I havent got anything besides index.php so anything besides pages and the blog probably won’t work.

Basically the posts and they’re surrounding box are in tables which isn’t the most efficient way of doing it.

Oh and can someone tell me why the sidebar list adds an extra blank point in Firefox?
