I’d like to add that they’re not giving support on the official page of the theme anymore, they don’t reply to emails nor publish comments.
Same problem here, tried everything they suggest on New York theme home page and it doesn’t work. I see a lot of people having the same issue with this theme. The featured article image doesn’t show up!

As I said:
– the problem is not the password, but the username: it says it doesn’t exist (so resetting the password doesn’t work because there’s no user registered to any of my mail adresses. Although I created a user when installing WP, after importing the database the user doesn’t exist anymore hence I don’t know how to login)
– it won’t let me change the username and password from phpMyadmin, because the icon “Browse” in the table users is grey, I can’t click it.
