…and then I thought about the version PHP I am running. I just changed it from 5.2 to 5.4 and all is well!
I did the uninstall and still nothing. Pretty sad. I want to spend $250 on their suite, but they have no interest in proving to me the product works.
I tried the above, but I still get the error ‘Something went wrong with your backup. It looks like another process might already be trying to backup your database. Please try again in a few minutes. If the problem persists please contact support.’
I see the folder path is correct and permissions are set to 750. Any other ideas? There are no other backup plugins installed on this site.

I did find those instructions originally. What I was hoping to do is install WP in the root directory, build the site there and then launch. The WP must be in the root when we launch.
If this is the only way, then I guess I need to move WP to a sub-directory, build the WP site there, then move it back to root and delete the old site?
Please advise.
