After working with this a bit more, I find it still allows unregistered users to see parts of the site in a group I made “Registered” which is affiliated with Subscriber role.
Also everyone can see Categories. Since that page is not editable and generated automatically, there seems to be no way for UAM to secure it.
This is so close to working, any ideas?
Having a default group set for new posts/pages would be very, very good.
Ditto for files uploaded, and controlling access to search results.
That plugin would almost work.
It has some unresolved bugs in it, and does not quite work.
For example, while it can block pages, it does not block widgets or categories or searches.
It has various 404 and redirect loop issues in some cases.
The Categories menu entry shows and since WordPress doesn’t let you edit that “page” you can’t set access to it.
This one is close, but has odd semantics and some bugs I can’t fix right now.
