I get this too- but only on certain themes – I just changed the theme, so it would be interesting to get an answer on this too
I’m a Newbie too – but I can log into my admin section using Firefox, but when I try to log into admin in Internet Explorer I get redirected to http://newbiesdiary.com/blog/wp-login.php?redirect_to=%2Fblog%2Fwp-admin%2F
So my suggestion would be to give Firefox a try if you havent already.
