I’d be interested to know if anyone can duplicate this problem.

    OS X 10.10.5, Safari 9.0.3 (10601.4.4), WP 4.5.1 using Generate Press theme

This is the HTML, as copied from the Text view:
<p><strong><img class="alignleft wp-image-1490" src="path-to-image.jpg" alt="image" width="120" height="120" />Lorem ipsum</strong> dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit, sed diam nonummy nibh euismod tincidunt ut laoreet dolore magna aliquam erat volutpat.</p>

In the Visual editor, yesterday I could select the image with a single click, which would bring up the edit toolbar. Today, after 4.5.1 upgrade, clicking on the image itself does nothing. By trial and error, I worked out that if I select the para by clicking on the p in the footer bar, I can then select the image and bring up the edit toolbar. But if I then select the pencil icon (I want to change the image’s size), the Image Details dialog is empty.

I was able to make my desired edit directly in the HTML, but the client I’m building this for will only be able to use the Visual editor.

Is this a bug? Am I missing something? Any feedback will be appreciated.

I’ve made a PS file with a series of screenshots showing behaviour. I’ll send the link for download to your email.

    Thx

    OK, thanks, Bev.

I just took a look at your sample – and the behaviour of it is the same as mine. Some images are aligned to the top, some to the baseline, so it seems this is the default behaviour.

So, is it possible to align *all* visible images to the baseline, all the time, please?

    Thanks
