any ideas on how to make i can resize the QR code produced ont he ticket as its still too small i think leaving too much white space on the right side of ticket and i can see that by making it bigger will help fill this and make it easier for the scanner to pick up, i think having it bigger would also lessen the chance of being misprinted if users printer is not the bestForum: Plugins

but thats the problem
the tickets are not for posting out to them, they have to print them off from emailif i enable “Always collect shipping address ” the user form then asks for their “shipping” address which of course makes it look like i will send them by post
instead of saying “shipping” it would be better left open format so it would suit for both scenarious but for now i need to know a way to change it please ?

still cant work out how to make the QR code bigger though or how to have sales get purchasers details without switching on postage but i do not want to do it that way because when that it is on it specifically tells the buyer to enter “shipping” details which is not suitable for printable tickets

i found that code had re appeared so i removed it again this time even adding some extra code to pull in the sidebars that i did want displaying ( the sidebars for the theme)Everything was great but a couple of days later back to problem again.
original code had returned again???seams that plugin updates itself without actual saying there is and update or manually applying one?
is this plugin doing callbacks and checking its own code and reverting that code if found to be not default code ?
i tried to be clever by taking copy of the file and putting it in theme route with my changes as recommended in the readme, guess what , a couple of days later problem back again
whats happening with code and why is reverting itself back to default every couple of days?

try yourself on that` sit thats not displaying properly in OPthe actual code i posted only had one word changed from its original code to reveres the display as mentioned in my post about changing for left to right so i know it works although when i pasted entire file code it didnt really display in this forum the way i expected it to
stourbridge is the area so that is what has been set
acording to what you say then i should be able to set listings with there markers within this boundaryi set the boundary at 5 miles
i cant get it accept even a listing just 50 ft from the default stourbidge area and yet stoubridge is approx 5 mile in total
i try to drag marker to ne location just 50 feet away or more and it just springs back every time to where it started,
default location is stourbridge, west midlands
but then listings must be markers on buildings, restaurants etc
from what i can tell it seams your saying this is not possible to put these markers ? the whole area is stourbridge but doing this makes every listing pointing to same marker where map has defined stourbridge
so do you mean i have main location set and i cannot add listings within that area and have them show up as markers on the main location without being to force to pay when i dont even know if this plugin is yet properly suited for my needs unless it can be seen and setup properly as a directory would be.
can you please confirm?

In reply to: [Timeline Express] announcement display issueEvan i have fixed this but im no coder, im not bad with CSS but php im really not so good at but given time i can work things out and find a way round but i now know this is not a plugin issue and technically not a theme issue either, ive come to conclusion this is a bit of bad work on WP core in how it handles the default sidebar
by default WP does not give admin option to switch off default sidebar but if it did nobody would have broken themes a lot of the time when they try new plugins.this is the culprit code

this is the left sidebar
if a dev makes a theme whereby you simply add your own widget and that itself replaces the sidebar with a theme sidebar then some ( quite a lot) of plugins will display incorrect when showing a single view which is exactly what what happening with your plugin on my site so in single view which is controlled by single-timeline.express.announcment.php file is laid out to pull in default WP view rather than the themes view so it will pull the default sidebar back creating a conflict in theme and ruining the layout
in my case it was the default sidebar then placing itself underneath the content of the announcement.
you may know more than me as a coder to make good solution because as said im not a coder so i have had to copy code from my theme template that would cancel the default sidebar and place the theme sidebars but this means ive hardcoded your plugin file so i could never update unless i do this again after an update. im not sure of any other way to get round this though, theme dev would have just as much problems because they cant code to suit every plugin out there.
why oh why dont WP just add a button in admin to switch off default sidebar and save thousands of users this headache ?

do you have a firewall? if so make sure its granted permissions to go through.
if your not sure ask your host to check if port 443 is allowed in case they have a server side firewall

i cant pursue this any longer
the plugin has been on for a while now hoping it may suddenly show feed but it never has, this morning i went on site to find all of sudden it does show a feed completely unexplained however all the feeds have no relevance to the settings and twitter accounts i applied on the plugin
every feed it was showing are in chinese and clearly spam accounts from a hack. i checked php files on your plugin and they are all showing silence is golden so, within the rest of my site there is no evidential issue anywhere showing so it seems your plugin may have a serious flaw with security allowing a hack through. i think you need to recheck everything in the plugin to be sure. my host has also advised there is no obvious hack anywhere else in my site so i have removed the plugin and will have to go find another one which is a shame as i liked the options on this one
