Hi all, i managed to fix this issue by doing the following;
in the wordpress cms black side panel i clicked contact > contact forms > contact form 1 edit > then in the ‘To’ box, i just put my email address > save
simple i know, but i had missed this and now it works fine

I understand all of that and thank you.
If i deactivate the old yoast/seo plugin, will i then lose all of my seo text that i have added into yoast?
