Hi,
Just a quick update to close the loop: the Italian translation is now working correctly. After updating the plugin, it took several hours before the translation update became available in my WordPress dashboard. Once I updated the translations, everything returned to normal.
Thank you for the information and clarification. Regarding the clickable IP addresses: it was a convenient feature, but if it had been broken for a long time, it makes sense to remove it until a reliable alternative is available.
Thanks again for your help. You can close/delete this ticket on your side if needed.
Hello,
Since yesterday everything worked, but today two major problems appeared after updating:
- PayPal buttons show everywhere – Even if I select Classic Checkout in the Button Styling settings and disable other locations, after saving and leaving the settings, when I come back the location is set again to Cart and Product page. So PayPal buttons appear on product pages and in the cart, even though I only want them on the checkout page.
- Card payments completely disabled – The credit card fields have disappeared. Now the plugin shows the message “Contact PayPal to enable IC++”. This means I can’t offer direct card payments anymore, which were working until yesterday.
This situation is very frustrating. How is it possible that a core payment plugin changes behavior overnight? Please explain how to:
- Keep PayPal buttons only on the checkout page (not on product/cart).
- Re-enable credit card fields in checkout without forcing IC++ if possible.
Thanks.
Hi,
thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I’m still stuck. Here’s my situation after updating to version 3.1:
- The credit card fields (Hosted Fields) completely disappeared on checkout.
- I disconnected the PayPal account as suggested, but after trying to reconnect:
- PayPal confirms the connection as “OK” and generates a new REST API key each time,
- yet WooCommerce still shows “Complete the configuration”, as if the account was never linked.
- I cannot enter any credentials manually either, since the plugin does not show the fields for Client ID / Secret.
So I’m back to square one: I cannot reconnect PayPal, I cannot use Hosted Fields, and every attempt just creates new API keys without actually linking WooCommerce to PayPal.
Can you please advise how to force WooCommerce to recognize the account connection or how to enable the manual credential input in version 3.1? Right now the store cannot process card payments at all.
Thanks,

In reply to: [WooCommerce PayPal Payments] Failed Scheduled ActionsHi,
After some extensive testing, I’ve confirmed that the issue is not related to wp-cron.
Whether I use the native WordPress Cron or a server-level cron job (via SiteGround), the result is always the same:
I receive this failed scheduled action:“Action failed via WordPress Cron. The scheduled action for wc-admin_import_orders will not be executed as no callbacks are registered.”
The same message appeared before, but it said “via Async Request” instead of “via WordPress Cron”.
So the issue is that something (either WooCommerce Admin or your plugin) is scheduling the
wc-admin_import_ordersaction but never registers a callback for it.Can you confirm if this is a known issue? And is there any fix or patch available?
Everything works fine from a payment and order perspective, so it’s not critical, but the failed action is confusing and clutters the logs.
Thanks in advance,
Nick@cpt1965
siteground server?if so, the problem is theirs
hello, just now the same problem occurred again.
“Could not connect to the SMTP host.”
problem only with port 465 and ssl, with port 25 it works

Hristo from SiteGround here.
We’ve implemented an update of our mailing system which resulted in the above reported problem. At the moment we’re reverting the update until we perform additional tests and confirm that it won’t cause such problems.
same problem, always with siteground who told me to try another plugin (easy wp smtp), but always same error. Until yesterday it worked.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Database update stucksame problem! in previous versions the database update lasted only a few seconds, now the warning does not disappear anymore
@sstoqnov already done, siteground technicians (italy) have done what you said to do but the problem remains, they said that it is a bug
same problem, before I did not receive the warning is now present.
Contacted siteground support, which they told me: I also checked server side and it is a bug of the SG Optimizer because the Memcached is properly activated, it could even be a conflict with a plugin and the new version
found the problem! it is the fault of this plugin “WooCommerce Print Invoice & Delivery Note”. I did some testing on my website staging, and disabling this plugin and then closing the notification, the warning no longer appears.
What can I tell the plugin author, to solve the problem?
thank you
if I click on the cross, the warning disappears immediately, then as soon as I click on another page or link it reappears immediately. I use the siteground cahce and empty all three cache levels.
no errors in the logs, other plugins that have the warning once closed no longer appears, while this continues to appear.
example: in the WP Mail SMTP plugin, the warning appears as yours, but in addition there is this writing “Dismiss this notice”, clicking on the warning disappears forever.
hi, updated to the new version, but the warning has reappeared again and there is no way to remove it.
I had to do this as for the previous version.
easy solution; edit wp-content/autoptimize/classes/autoptimizeMain.php and on line 550 change
$_ao_imgopt_active = false;
into
$_ao_imgopt_active = true;
