That seemed to fix it! I don’t know why deactivating didn’t fix it before.. Thanks so much for your assistance! Is there another Cache plugin you recommend that doesn’t cause this problem?
Thanks again!
Hey there,
That was my original thought, too. I have cleared the cache on my end, and reached out to have my server’s cache cleared as well.. Still no change.
Here is the image uploaded to my Google Drive: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_iEihU7XJi2ZzFFSloxRHNPOXc
Thanks again!
Hi there!
The site is now back up, sorry about that! No, the images are not part of a tiled gallery..
I will reactivate Jetpack so you can take a look. I still have Photon disabled, but even after this theme change, my images are still linking to the Photon URLs (which seem to be a stretched out version of the photo? Maybe that’s causing the drop in quality?)
Thanks again for your assistance 🙂
Hi lamday,
I just finished speaking with my host, and they assured me it wasn’t anything to do with their end. They did clear the cache and the temp files, just in case, but it seems like the problem persists.
I don’t understand why WordPress isn’t linking to the image on my server, but rather to a “http://i0.wp.com/” address (which, from what I understand, is Photon/Jetpack)
Hi lamday,
I have cleared the cache on my end, and will reach out to my host about the issue now.
I’m glad you see it, too! They are, in fact, the same image. The original is the direct link to the media file.. the second is the link that shows up after the post is published. It looks pixelated, the colors are slightly off, and it starts with a “i0.wp” address, instead of a direct link.
Thanks so much for your support
