thanks mydsk but I am not actually sure what you are asking me to do. I had the site upload to my host a cpl of years ago and it was a bit of a car crash so I have been working on tidying it up over the past few weeks but, I have very limited technical knowledge.

Login in your plesk panel >> search for your domain >> File Manager >> httpdocs >> Add new file >> Check the box upload file >> Browse >> select the robots.txt to upload.
After this process your robots.txt will get uploaded in your root directory i.e (httpdocs)
however, I don’t know where the actual robots.txt file is in WP to do this
