I did figure out the problem but thanks for the response. In case anyone runs into this in the future, here’s what happened. The plugin was installed and working correctly but I did not realize this because whenever I tried testing it from my own computer by filling out the form and submitting it I did not receive the confirmation email and nothing was added to my Mail Chimp list.

After a friend tested out the form, it worked correctly (they received the opt in email and they were added to my list). Hope that helps anyone having similar issues.

Thanks for taking a look at my contact page. I actually swapped out the form last night in case anyone contacted me. I’ve switched it back to the mailchimp plugin form. If you get a chance to take a look at it and you have any recommendations as to why its not working properly I’d love your feedback.
