I’d just rechecked and it looks correct now. Didn’t think of clearing cache on the WP side, new to that. I know how to clear the site cache, guess I should have just been more patient. It’s a really good theme, and I very much appreciate the effort and support.
Clearing the cache did not help me, same issue. I also have a magnifying icon and an X in the search button at all times.
Even opened the site in Edge, which I never use and have the same issue. Even after clearing cache there as well.
Primary browser is Chrome.

I made the suggested change with no change in result. Still just an empty box
[family-tree family=’11’ root=’206’] With and without the root reference, all I get is a blank box.
