The thing is, i’m running my wordpress installation on a BeagleBone Black. I simply started a fresh version of Ubuntu 14.04, however by default it ships with Apache2 installed, and all my other websites had been run by Nginx instead. So i simply just removed everything called apache, and installed Nginx. Then configured MySQL and installed the PHP-packages. Then i changed the permissions for folders and files (To the same as before, 755 for wp-content and 644 for wp-config.php), and then i restarted Nginx. Now i can easily crop, edit and work with different pictures, and i’m also able to install plugins 🙂I’m not sure what exactly caused this, if it were Nginx/Apache or some PHP configuration, i don’t now. Anyways, it works now!

I’ve tried that line you posted, James, and i don’t know if that had an affect. I also changed to pretty permalinks, and i’m now able to skip cropping and use a picture as a favicon, but cropping still throws an error. It says: “There has been an error cropping your image”, but i can still select the image, i just can’t save the cropping.
And when i go to the media tab, i can see all the pictures uploaded, but clicking edit, shows me the editing menu with all the tools, but the image appears unavailable.So, some change, but it’s still not workable…

In reply to: Can't use media in WordPressWell it’s 4.4, so thats fresh in itself. I installed WordPress on the server just in these last few days, so thats also pretty fresh.
Regarding the link you gave me, I acutally did exactly what it said in there, but with another tutorial. Here’s my system specs if that has any importance:

In reply to: Can't use media in WordPressI do not have any plugins installed, and because this is a fresh installation of wordpress, i have never had any on this one. However, i do have an .htaccess file, but it doesn’t contain anything that should be able to cause this. I’ve been running WordPress before on a system like this, where it worked perfectly even though i had that .htaccess file with the same contents.

In reply to: Can't use media in WordPressI just tried to delete everything inside my host folder, and installing 4.3, no change. I then reinstalled 4.4 through the update option in the dashboard. I still have no change… maybe something related to the www-data user and permissions then?

In reply to: Accidentally deleted administrator role..I see what you mean. The website wasn’t launched yet, meaning i will probably just reinstall WordPress. I may sound stupid, but i kinda keep screwing those files up, so..

As i said i can’t go into managing the plugin. I tried the phpmyadmin, and i did as you said Sykat. Now, when i reload the page and log in i get to click the controlpanel button, but the i get a message saying i got insufficient permissions. I really have no idea what i did wrong… Please help me 😛
