I have set it to Learning mode and logged out. It is still causing the same issue. I have checked the Live Traffic Page, the action. The page in question is green so I am assuming it allowed.

As per your suggestion I will check the error logs and get back to you

Many of these guest users. Think they have created an account, when they have filled out the details on the checkout

I figured out the issue. I had ticked the Immediately lock out invalid usernames.

By unselecting it. It just gives the user incorrect username or password error

The version is WordPress 6.1.1 (latest I believe).

I did not enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY in wp-config.php to see this. It appears in the login box that appears on the dashboard when you log out or the login times out.

We had installed Anti-Spam by CleanTalk. There were some issues with the login page after the installation. They made some changes. But this issue is occuring when that plugin is deactivated
