I just tried to change the icons in the settings but it does not work for the icon “easy language”. I also didn’t receive any confirmation that the icon had been replaced, as I did in the other fields. Now the icon for easy language is completely blank and can no longer be replaced …

    Hi Thomas,

Thanks for your detailed response and quick help. I’ve emailed you a link to the current project page in case you’d like to take another look at the icon size.

In the shortcode, “hide_actual_language=‘yes’” is set here. This ensures that only the icon for easy-to-read language is displayed on the “normal page.” If set to “no,” both icons are displayed. It doesn’t matter whether the pages are translated or not.

    Best regards,
    Tobi

Thank you a lot! I found another “feature” – the switcher (implemented with shortcode) ist always visible even on non-translatet sites (in the settings its set to hide if no translation)

    Thanks for your rapid answer!

If I understand correctly, you have several concerns.

Yes, there are actually several points.

Which version of Divi 5 are you using exactly? And was the content in question entered in Divi 5, or did it originate in Divi 4 and get migrated to Divi 5? And which API are you using for this?

The Divi version is 5.1.0 (unfortunately, there’s a bug with the header in the newer versions, which is why I can’t use the latest version).

The site was rebuilt using version 5.1.0. (WordPress 6.9.4, PHP: 8.3)

I tried using the summ.ai API (the translations are received but not integrated). Now I’m working with the no-API version. With both, the texts appear as shown above.

Regarding the icon, you’re probably referring to how it appears in the settings? I’d be happy to take another look at that.

The icon can be quickly customized via CSS by specifying a size for the img element.

Newly created pages with simplified text inherit all properties from the original page, including the status. If you don’t want them to be published immediately, you simply need to change their status after creation.

Yes, that’s what I thought too, but in the No-API version, I no longer see separate pages for the translations. They are included in the total page count, but they aren’t listed in the Pages tab. They also can’t be filtered anymore. I believe they were still displayed on pages using the Summ.ai API.

    Greetings,
    Tobias

I just saw, that the icon for Easy Language is a svg – that might be the problem with the icon-size …
