The latest version wasn’t released a day after like the reply suggested (could also be because of timezones), so wasn’t able to upgrade right away.

Hi there, unfortunately this is not something that this plugin does.
You’ll be able to display a team with a shortcode, but the author box you are talking about is different.
You might want to look at something like this: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/simple-author-box/
